Numiq
SaaS Solution for the Construction Industry
Online platform that help construction companies generate quotes and manage projects efficiently. It evolved from a basic calculator to a comprehensive system with tiered subscriptions and multi-company management.

Introduction
Revolution for construction companies
Numiq approached me with an ambitious vision: to create a user-friendly SaaS product that would revolutionize how construction companies generate quotes and manage projects. They needed a platform that would streamline calculations, offer tiered subscription plans, and ultimately expand their reach internationally. As the sole designer on this project, I was tasked with bringing this vision to life.

My role
UI/UX Design and Client Collaboration
I was responsible for the entire UI/UX design process, from conceptualizing solutions and translating the client's ideas into intuitive interfaces to ensuring a seamless user experience across all platform features. This involved close collaboration with the Numiq team to ensure their vision aligned with user needs and industry best practices.

Process
An Evolution of Design and Functionality
The project began with a basic calculator embedded from the client's existing construction company website. My initial task was to introduce modals for premium features, requiring users to unlock them via SMS or online payment.
However, the project quickly evolved beyond its initial scope. We introduced tiered subscription plans, added functionalities for professionals to manage multiple companies and personalize price lists, and even incorporated a section for company presentations.
Eventually, the platform's growing features required a complete redesign of the original interface to handle its increasing complexity. I reimagined the interface, adopting a modern application shell layout with a flexible sidebar navigation to improve organization and user experience.
We expanded the platform with several key features: a chat window, a client portal for managing calculations and project details, and a room-based calculation system. Further additions included invoicing, project overviews, customizable pricing list templates, client reviews, and version history.

The Challenge
Balancing Client Vision with User Needs
One of the primary challenges was translating the client's ambitious ideas into user-friendly designs while ensuring the platform remained intuitive and easy to navigate. Effective communication and a collaborative approach were crucial in bridging the gap between the client's vision and user expectations.

Solution
A Robust and Scalable SaaS Solution
The result is a robust and scalable SaaS solution that empowers construction companies to streamline their quoting and project management processes. I delivered a comprehensive suite of design assets, including prototypes, final designs, and style guides, ensuring a cohesive and user-centered experience.

Results
Expanding Reach and Positive User Feedback
While the project is ongoing, Numiq is already attracting users from various countries, demonstrating its potential for international growth. Initial user feedback has been positive, indicating that the platform effectively addresses the needs of its target audience.

Lessons Learned
The Value of Adaptability and Communication
This has been the largest project I've worked on to date. Throughout the process, I learned the critical importance of adaptability and clear communication when managing evolving requirements and client expectations. The experience reinforced how a user-centered approach is essential for creating successful digital products.
